Why not have Live Punjabi Songs at your next Vaisakhi, Baisakhi or Lohri Music Event.

Vaisakhi or Baisakhi is an ancient harvest festival in the India, Punjab region, which also marks the beginning of a new solar year, and new harvest season. Since the migration of many Indian people to North America Baisakhi or Vaisakhi has now become an integral part of the Indo-Canadian and American Punjabi culture, and has also become a common Vancouver Multicultural celebration and festival.

This festival celebrated with Punjabi Music is celebrated with Traditional Indian Music, music, dance, and feasts. There are typical Vaisakhi Punjabi Folk Songs that are sung for this Indian Music Event, commemorating the celebration and in thanksgiving.

Freedom and Leela, Punjabi Singers in Vancouver have been offering Punjabi songs for Lohri over the years and would enjoy being a part of your child’s first birthday celebration.

Lohri is an Indian festival of fire in which fire is worshipped. It is usually celebrated to commemorate the birth of a male child but now is celebrated for the birth of young girls also. Families get together, sometimes rent a hall and have a big celebration. Often these celebrations are immersed with live music, song and dance which bring the entire family and relatives into a state of joy. It is common in the Punjabi culture to celebrate by having a Lohri event when the child is one year old with desi songs, folk songs or by holding a kirtan program.

Why not add an element of live Indian Punjabi festival songs, folk songs or desi songs to your next Lohri or Baisakhi celebration.
